Defibtech International Sales Reach Record Levels
GUILFORD, CT – December 31, 2007 – Defibtech announced today that record sales were achieved in international sales of Defibtech Lifeline Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and accessories.
Defibtech Lifeline AEDs have been shipped to every continent in the world (excluding Antarctica). Shipments have been sent to over 30 countries including Italy, Germany, France, Netherlands, UK, Ireland, China and Israel. Most recently Defibtech has begun shipments to India. The audible instructions spoken by the AED, which "talk" the user through the steps of a rescue, are now available in more than 10 languages.
Annually, Defibtech exhibits its Lifeline AED at Medica, the leading global exhibition for the medical sector, attracting trade visitors from nearly 100 countries. The 2007 Medica show was held on November 14-17 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

AEDs revive victims of sudden cardiac arrest caused by ventricular fibrillation. Studies show that if victims are defibrillated within a minute or two after arrest, more than 70 percent survive. If defibrillation is delayed for more than 10 minutes, only 5 percent live, making immediate access to AEDs vital.
