Defibtech, LLC, a Nihon Kohden company based in Guilford, Conn., that develops and markets automated external defibrillators (AEDs), mechanical chest compressors, and other lifesaving resuscitation products announced today the release of a newly designed semi-automatic DDU-100 AED to Defibtech’s exclusive distributor in Israel, Hadar Medical & Training Services. The new design was created and customized exclusively for Hadar’s customer, a global EMS organization called United Hatzalah. United Hatzalah is the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer emergency medical service organization based in Jerusalem. They provide fast and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel. “Hatzalah” means rescue in Hebrew.
The customized United Hatzalah AED unit is the same orange as United Hatzalah’s logo. Voice prompts and LED labels are in Hebrew. A version of United Hatzalah’s logo appears on the front case cover.
“This is an especially exciting product release, since this is the first time Defibtech has created a fully customized AED, with color, language, and logos, for a Defibtech authorized distributor,” said AJ Pace, Defibtech’s vice president of global marketing.
