AEDs for Emergency Vehicles
our personnel and patients
are the heartbeat of your department
Emergency Vehicles & Police are called upon to respond to emergencies every day. Emergency vehicles include non-transporting EMS vehicles that can carry almost as much equipment as an ambulance at a much lower cost. Typically, they lack the ability to transport a patient while still being able to treat a patient at the scene, and if necessary, call in additional assistance. This helps emergency medical organizations save resources on several levels and increase the number of units available to respond to emergencies.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest is caused by chaotic electrical activity in the heart and can only be treated with an electric shock called defibrillation. Recent advances in modern technology, along with legislative support from federal and state governments, have made a solution available to the public. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are this life-saving solution.
Police cruisers roam neighborhoods in greater numbers and potentially offer faster response times as well. Increasingly, communities are incorporating police departments into their emergency services by equipping police cruisers with AEDs. Emergency response efficiencies are gained and improved response times to sudden cardiac arrest may be realized without the greater costs.
